- coop acquired, summer and fall started earlier today. elo touchsystems
- in the past 3 weeks...i put at least 1600 miles on eric's car, slept in 8 different beds, and dropped almost 20 dollars in change i had acquired over time on tolls.
- new address = 233b perkins road, living with hooch and steffens.  a sleeper room, a desk/compy room, and a friendly room.
- in place of a pillow, i bore a ring on a disc at a wedding.

so much more i want to say, but i can't or won't.

it is now week ten.  of spring quarter.  of my fourth year at rit.  this is absolutely insane.  i can still recall as if it was yesterday leaving for iowa last year at about this time.  a crazy quarter of fun with steffens, mikabose, and hutton two springs ago.  doing garbage runs and mowing grass during my stint at the state park the summer after my freshman year.  the nerves and stress of applying to college and trying to choose the right one of the fall of my senior year of high school.  so near, and yet so far.  i have come a long way in this time.

in recalling these times, i am reminded of something that me and laura talked about briefly a few months back.  that being some of events in your life, significant or not, of which a certain image is burned into your memory forever.  i have a bunch of those.  so crisp in my mind.  i wonder how long they will last!  as i grow older, will some of the fine details of my younger years pass from my memory, or will i still be able to fondly recall them all?

in writing an email to my grandmother last wednesday, i realized that i really need to start writing more.  it is something i do enjoy doing, yet it is something that i have not done consistently since my freshman year, save a brief spell last summer.  so much passes through my mind and it is nice to have a record of it. there is something to be said for the labor, messiness, and personality of hand writing each and every word as opposed to typing it.  alternate xanga accounts and word documents are fun, but a notebook is better. i started writing wednesday night, but i got a notebook thursday morning and i got cracking on it soon after.  i have already filled twelve pages, and will probably fill another one or two before i finally get to sleep tonight.

i am still in search of something to do this summer.  ideally i will be on coop, i honestly dont care where, but i am not at all worried or stressed about it.  not to say that i havent been working very hard on finding a job, just that i am ok with the waiting, or if it comes to it, the lack of a job for the summer.  i am not sure what i would do then (beyond making sure i have work for the fall!), but i have a long list of things i want to do, for sure.  the west coast beckons, as does a certain set of 46.  but i shall certainly wait before making any sort of decision in that regard.

this weekend was superb. not a ton of fun, but a good time for relaxing, healing, and contemplation.  i stayed home all friday night writing and completing a majority of my homework before sleeping in late saturday.  saturday i got to play at being a catcher for a while before the rest of the day was consumed with a trip to the lilac festival with eric, brendan, val, and arricka.  for reasons i am still not 100% sure of, val and arricka were considering me their father and eric and brendan thinking me their father.  it made for interesting conversation and a fun time.  we had a blast rolling down hills, and i very nearly lost the banana bread i had for breakfast that morning, if you take my meaning.  the night was capped off with smoothies, good food, some gaming and a late night movie.  today was church, followed by a trip to red lobster with jon and shijo and his family.  i had a great time with shane and shawn, and the food was good too.  follow this up with some batting practice, fight club, and a skate, and it makes for a varied and yet complete weekend.  ah, the joys of hard work during the week to secure a free weekend.

week ten approaches fast, but i am ready for it.  the quarter is almost done, and though my time at rit is about to end, i am just starting to get the hang of this all.  funny that.  for now though, i think i shall start the process of getting to sleep.

i left 189 at 1am saturday night and got back near to 4am. reason? ---- (dancing, smooching all the ladies)
---- is the stuff of legends.  meet, pohtaytoes, ice cream, it makes it all better. (rosemary, ice cream)
my face on reporter kissing my ----.  at least witnessing that smooch wont make ya feel awkward like watching a friend smooch would. (roomate, board)
the twins are playing ---- now.  absolutely legendary. (soccer, settlers)
i left my comms test last week expecting in the 30's.  honestly.  got it back in class wednesday.  ----.  wtf? (95, 674)
----!  ---- everywhere! ---- all over 189! (pregnant women brandishing scimitars, cones)
got to see ----. she is a good friend.  here is a shout out to her and some other long distance friends - mikabose, hutton, mayers. (oprah, laura walczak)
free ---- day at ben and jerry's.  turns out that wasn't even the most ice cream i have had this week.  (ice cream cone, traffic cone)
i finally ---- for the baker boyz. still not sure how that one happened...  (scored a goal, took a bullet)
aunt/uncle/cousins visted last week.  a pleasant change of pace.  still weird to have a colliding of ----, home and school, if you take my meaning.  (worlds, skulls)
i am eating ---- right now. (dirt, monkey intestines laced with plutonium)
long ride last night.  good fun.  our ---- keeps growing every day.  what was me, eric, and brendan during finals week last quarter has grown into the three of us, harry, sarah, val, kiersten, moses, etc.  loves it.  (kill count, skate jeesh)
looking back on ---- quarter last year is fun.  or two years ago.  or three.  but also sad in some ways, for each. (spring, hooke's law)

lots more to say, but that is enough for now.
